sunny Cancun. We had a great time and stayed in a wonderful hotel, the Riu Palace. We arrived Thursday at noon to a fantastic room with a great view of the ocean. We enjoyed laying by the pool and the "All-Inclusive" food and drinks the resort had to offer. The temp was perfect...not too hot and not too cool. Thursday night, we went out to the big discotec, Daddy O's, with the staff of the resort. Daddy O's was also all-inclusive (notice a theme). Friday was great...we did NOTHING....laid by the pool, laid on the beach, laid by the pool, sat at the swim-up bar, took a nap, went to dinner, and then scooted ou
t to Margaritaville, Carlos & Charlie's and Pat O'Brian's. Saturday was our adventure day. We took a 75-ft catamaran to Isla Mujeres; on the way there we stopped for an hour long snorkel tour. We had lunch on the beach and then rented a golf cart to tour the island. The ride back to Cancun was great, as you could imagine it was.....all-inclusive......better yet they had a "couples contest," involving balloons, which we WON. In a weird twist of fate, it was election day in Mexico so all of the night clubs, discotecs and bars were closed, so our night ended with a great dinner and a walk on the beach.We are glad to be home to the Nilla Bean, but look forward to going back. I know two things; it will be soon and it will be ALL-INCLUSIVE!
